smoking header

Default smoking header

hello,

One of my new headers is smoking. I was told here before that this is likely that one of the fuel injectors is faulty.

I put an induction tester on the header and one of the exhaust ports is 110 degrees and the other ones were 230. Am I correct that this is the culprit?

Thanks for any guidance.

Are they the painted? Sometimes they'll smoke when they are new...

Is the cylinder at 110* when it is running? If it is, than it is dead. Is the motor missing?

motor is not missing. yes when running. not missing at idle or at rpm.

no the headers are chrome or some shiny metal. not painted.

230* is normal operating at idle. 110* is not normal. If smoke is just coming off one header tube and not out or around the flange and gasket. I would say that just oils in the metal are burning out. I would look into why you have a COLD cylinder.

That much variance, I'd say you have a dead hole. It's probably miss firing, you just can't tell.
