Default EGR Question

Hi

I have a 99 WS6 w/EGR, I know the 01-02s did not have EGR.
My question is what caused these later model Birdies & Camaros to not have EGR?

Wasn't it the LS6 Intake Manifold?
I'm thinking of getting a LS6 intake manifold or a different one like FAST.

Thx!

The 01-02 cars actually came with a smaller cam from factory which allowed it to pass as a low emissions vehicle without the need for EGR.

Oh it was a smaller cam huh? - I always thought it was the LS6 manifold.
Cool! Thanks for the info!
