Unhappy Something doesnt Sound Right

I just install FLP LT's and ORY. I have SLP LM catback. Everything sounds good (loud and mean) at idle and WOT, but at mid rpm's when I'm not really on it it sounds like ***. Almost a poping noise. I don't see any leaks anywhere, I'm wondering if it could be the gaskets on the AIR lines. Whattya think?

Thanks,
Craig

Im pretty sure what you are talking about is "rasp". Pretty sure with ory and LM your going to have rasp. Might want to try putting a bullet muffler in place of the LM resanator.

I've heard this before, this would involve cutting the resonator out and welding a bullet in it's place right? Any recomondations on the type of bullet? I've heard borla makes a good one.

or you could put the cats on and try that. Usually that is all it takes to get rid of the rasp (in LM or GMMG exhausts). The Flp's come with cats and ORpipe so a quick change to the cats and tryout should be easy enough

that's a good idea, thanx.
i think i'll deal with the noise for a while, after putting the LT's on I've had enough time under the car for a day or two. My install wasn't too bad though for all the stories I've heard. I don't know if all FLP's fit as good as mine did or I just got lucky. Didnt have to mess with the steering knuckle, oil diverter, or shave down the block. Stock cats didnt wanna come off though. The hardest part was getting the car high enough with my small floor jack.
