LS6 Intake on an LQ9

OK, first problem, first post.

I have an LS6 intake and it has rectangular ports.

I also have an LQ9 which has 317 heads that have cathedral ports that I would like to put an LS6 intake on.

Why is it that I see people doing this swap all the time, but it does not seem possible to me?

You don't have a ls6 intake that has rectangle ports, it's looks like they do but their not,look closely

Pics of the intakes.

I realize that the gaskets are may be influencing my judgement, but they do look rectangular to me. Is this and LS6 intake?

Nope that's cathedral port, take the gaskets off the truck intake since the "snap on". They'll look the same, what's the part # on the ls6 intake?
