Default Name that bracket!
Anyone know what the heck this thing is? It's bolted to the rear of the driver side head. This is from my 01 Silverado LQ4.

The part number on it is 12559767. A google search says it's called "STOP", but I can't find any more details. It seems useless, although it served well as a handle when I pulled the head.

All I could find on it was it being some type of fuel rail clamp.... weird. Either way, that **** is 22 bucks new; I wouldn't chunk it just in case, LOL

LS1s have a similar bracket on the drivers side.......its a stop for the fuel rail.....keeps it going to the rear in the event of a accident

Protects the fuel rain in accidents, or more likely installation of the engine.

Interesting. I ended up leaving it on, you can't even see it behind the intake.
