Default Question about hooker catback.

Hey, i recently purchased a used hooker catback, but the seller had to cut off the tail pipes coming out of the muffler.

I want to bring the muffler + the 2 pipes to a shop and have them welded back onto the muffler, but I need to know in what position these 2 pipes are when installed on the car?

Are the pipes parallel with the muffler going straight back, or are they angled a bit up?

Pics would be helpful. Thanks!

With my old Magnaflow I had, they were angled a bit, but I'm not positive on how your cb would be. Your best bet would be to take the car up there and have them align everything on the car. It will need alot of tweaking to get it just right.

Don't feel like paying a shop to install an exhaust when I'm more than capable of aligning and installing the exhaust other then the welding.

Just a thought....mine has clamps. I can adjust mine all day. Autozone will rent a pipe expanding tool if if they've been cut. Expand the outlets and slip the pipes in the muffler.

I'm pretty sure mine are angled up a bit but would have to look. I take it the original pipes were welded on since they were cut?

It really has to be aligned on the car. Then tack welded when it's right, pulled off and welded up. They shouldn't charge much more if anything for doing it this way.

Its angled. Nobody knows exactly how much. It needs to be welded once its installed on the car. How do I know? Because I welded my tailpipes in

Just install everything yourself, find a way to hold the muffler in place, then take it to the shop to have the tail pipes aligned and welded.
