Default Quick Recommendation

I'm going to purchase headers for my car (LS1 T/A). The car is only driven during the summer and occasionally it might see some rain. Should I get ceramic coated or just black painted ones. I live in Illinois south-side of Chicago. I'm thinking of getting ceramic coated just to be safe. What do you guys think?

Stainless would be my first choice. Ceramic my second choice. And I wouldn't bother with painted headers.

I bought ceramic.
After not too long, I thought that I saw surface rust in spots where the ceramic coating may not have been applied properly. At this point, I thought that I made a mistake, and thought stainless would have been the way to go...until I saw some used, stainless headers. They were blue and brown.
What had appeared as 'rust' on the ceramic version was actually burned power steer fluid which had sprayed around in the engine compartment.
So, I vote for ceramic.

non-coated headers rust really fast and don't look good but are the cheapest...In the end your the one that has to look at them
