(3) 15MM Alternator Bracket bolt pitch and thread ?
I have been having this weird groan noise for over three months now and I happened to notice my alternator bracket had a gap b/w itself and the engine block. I go to tighten them and they catch then just spin. I pulled out the bolts and 2 of the 3 had threads in them. I tightened 2 of the 3 as best I could and guess what, GROAN is gone!
So, I need the pitch and thread of the bolt so I can buy NEW bolts and helicoil the stripped threads in the block. Does anyone have this info? Also, is it FINE or COARSE thread? Thank you!
The blocks are aluminum and hence the threads can strip easy, I don't know why someone would put them in so tight. This is why TORQUE WRENCHES and a bit of patience goes a LONG way.

The (2) that pass through the (2) alternator mounts and then into the block are:
PART #: 11516513 and are M10x1.5x125
The one that passes through just the bracket and into the block is:
PART #: 11516360 M10x1.5x90
I LOVE THIS FORUM!
