Intake and Long tube header install
Intake and Long tube header install Just curious how necessary is it for a tune after long tubes and a intake manifold being installed? Cam is gonna be installed a month or two afterwards and Im wondering can I wait to get it tuned once the cam is in or do I need a tune immediately afterwards?
You should be fine but just for clarification, what IM and LT's are you going with? I ran mine for a couple months with the LT's and a couple days with both IM and LT's and it was fine but mine are basic. If it's a ported fast and 1 7/8's then it might be an issue but if it's just basic ones then I wouldn't worry about it
You will be fine. It will run a bit fat, but just avoid lugging it and keeping it in low rpm's for an extended period of time. If you do you run the risk of fouling the plugs.

When I took my catback apart to convert to a MagnaMouth, it was VERY sooty on the inside. It wasn't before the TSP LT install. I know this b/c Obviously I took it off when I installed the headers. Gas mileage sucked also.
I ran like this from November 18th - March 12th, so right at 4 months.
