ls6 intake

ls6 intake i am currently looking to purchase a ls6 intake for my 99 camaro ss. i have seen a few different options though. i saw the slp ls6 intake with everything need to make the swap and i also saw the gm ls6 intake from texas speed performance for about 100 dollars less. however, the second intake doesnt mention anything about having the hardware needed. i guess that hardware would be the gaskets, coolant lines..etc.can anybody tell me what this is about???? what do i need to complete the swap??? please, if you have purchased either of the above let me know what your opinion is on that because i dont want to buy the cheaper one and find out i need 100 dollars worth of extra items to complete the swap. thanks alot
Yes the stock GM one does not have the large hole in the TB opening for the EGR. One of the sponsers has a conversion kit, but it's like $150!
I have read here you can cut the hole with a bansaw (?) and get the parts from Home depot for less than $20...I couldn't find anything on a quick search maybe someone who has done this can help.
Btw, I have a bare ls6 intake I might not need, and I will sell it a little cheaper than TSP so for the same price you can get coolant lines.

I found this in my tech notes about not having to buy new coolant lines from this great board:
If you dont want to waste 40 bucks just modify the ls1 coolant pipe. Use a pipe cutter and cut on both sides of the T and flange the ends a little bit and use a piece of hose and clamp it. Do the same for the rear. I had the back tube on the driver side go behind the OSU to the pass side. Worked like a charm

Bottom line, you're in need of determining what EGR mods (if any) are necessary to mount the new manifold. Apparently, my reading shows the '98-'00 EGR system differed from the system available later. Sometimes the adaptive parts can be obtained inexpensively and other times its worth it to pay a little more to do the job quickly. Just depends what your priorities and wallet allow.

Just go with the SLP one. You may save $100 bucks but it's already set up for EGR and having to fabricate the EGR fitting on one is not as easy as it sounds if you don't know what you're doing. The LS6 intakes are pretty thin-walled, so there is not much room for error when cutting/boring/etc. If it were up to me (and it was at one point) I would go with the SLP. The extra $100 is worth the hassle... but to each their own.
