Default Ls1 intake vs. Ls2 intake

I have a chance to grab an ls2 (ported) intake with injectors for 175$ (way cheaper than an ls6) is there any chance of decent gains?? I have a stock 98 SS

Properly ported yes but you will need an adapter harness for the injectors because they use different style plugs, so you can add another $90-$100 to that price for that and a
90mm TB will be pretty pricey as well. The LS6 makes the same or more power than the LS2 unless its ported by a really good shop, then their just about even for overall power.

you will have to also figure in retuning to compensate for the extra air coming in. you will also need an adapter harness for the throttle body. throttle body itself will set you back 200 plus for a used one. in the end, you will have more invested than if you just got a used LS6.
