Question LS1 header gasket questions...

I am putting my 02 z28 back together after a awesome ls7 lifter failure. And was just wondering what kind of gaskets every one was using. The header gaskets i got, when i first put the car together, were junk and i got about a year out of them before they cracked. I then put factory manifold gaskets in and they seemed to be ok for a while. Now that the car is apart and going back together i was just wondering what kind of gaskets were the "better" ones? Any input would be great!!!! Thanks!

I re used my factory ones and haven't had any problems. I'd go with the factory steel gaskets.

I'm still running the stock 79k mile gaskets that came on my T/A. They've been through 2 different sets of headers. My camaro had papers ones on it and after I took it apart and replaced it with carquest mls gaskets it wouldn't seal. I ended up having to flat file my headers and I used the Percys with the fuzzy stuff on them. The MLS probably would have worked after filing them but the percys ones are good as well.

Just put bbk lt on mine and had a choice..... Graphite paper bbk gasket or the stock metal gaskets. My stockers were in great shape so the stockers stayed on

Stick with the factory steel ones when I got my hooker it came with the paper ones but I like my stock ones I just filed my headers so they get be smooth and used the stock gaskets
