fast 90 vs 92 Well after seeing Dyno results of a ported fast 90 vs an ls6, I sold my ls6 intake this week. I searched and searched and couldn't really find a performance advantage between a 90 and a 92. The 2mm bigger opening and something about the way they improved the tb screws and the seal for the tb were the only advantages I could find. Are there any differences in the runner design or is it pretty much the same besides saying 92mm on it in pretty red letters Haha? Is there a difference I'm not aware of? I went ahead and bought a ported 90 bc it was a couple hundred bux cheaper than any 92 I could find
The stock map will work but it's not a great fit. Some just put RTV around it but I feared it would come loose eventually. So I bought a 4' x 1" wide piece of flat steel from the hardware store. Bent it in my vice and in about 15 min I had a nice bracket to hold the sensor in place. Then I put a piece of industrial velcro (soft side) on the inside of the bracket just to protect the sensor a little.
Do not buy a Fast brand 90mm TB. They are crap. I know...I have one. They stick. Mine is about to come off again so I can do some more grinding and polishing.
The hard part is it only sticks when bolted to the intake, on the bench it works fine so don't assume because you have one in your hand it is "a good one".

Outside of not buying a POS fast 90mm I would get whatever I found used for the cheapest in good shape. It's a butterfly valve in a chunk of billet aluminum...outside of being poorly machined and sticking there's not much that can go wrong and they all perform the same. I am unaware of any issues with other brands and even the Fast can be fixed it's just annoying to have to take it on and off a dozen times to clearance it without creating idle problems.
If you look around you can save yourself a couple hundred bucks.

Yeah I'm staying away from the fast tb. I'm leaning towards nick williams or ptm. All I can find are 92mms brand new. If I can't find a deal on a used one will a 92 work on the fast 90?
