Default GMMG or Duals??

I've been doing a lot of searching and reading and reading some more and I've narrowed down my exhaust to two options:

1) QTP LT, QTP ORY, GMMG
2)QTP LT, True Duals.

I like option 1 because I've heard nothing absolutely nothing bad about GMMG other than $$$. This is a daily driven car and I'm willing so sacrifice 5hp or so for the reliability and ease of ownership of a GMMG Catback.

Option 2 I was considering but I'd want the duals in stainless and that adds up real quick. I've also read a lot of people having to adjust, or keep switching out mufflers and such to find a combination that isn't too loud. I want it to be loud at WOT and for it to have a nice sounding idle but at cruise speeds < 2000rpm i don't want to have it droning and making life miserable inside the car.

So the question is which setup will suit my needs better?? The GMMG catback or true duals. I'm not a hardcore racer but still like a fast mean sounding car that will impress people.

Thanks.

If you go with the GMMG I would run cats with it to keep the rasp down. If that kinda thing bothers you. Why would you sacrifice HP with a GMMG, I understand it flows very well over stock and just about anything but duals? Anyway, you couldn't go wrong each way. I am also getting rid of my Corsa to get a GMMG + LT W/ Cats.

I love my gmmg with long tube headers and cats and it is exactly what you are looking for. They did a test with a cut-out open on a dyno and then gmmg on a dyno and i think they onjly lost like 1 or 2 horsepower by closing the cut-out and going with gmmg. It flows very well and sounds awesome

Well how bad is it without cats?? I live in SC and there's no inspection crap so I could run straight ory. The QTP y pipe comes with carsound cats, how much if any does that hurt performance?? I'm not totally sure what rasp sounds like other than it's bad LOL

Thanks.

If you get an ORY-pipe I wouldn't get the GMMG, it will be raspy.
With $700 I'm sure you could get a nice set of stainless duals with stainless Borla Pro XS mufflers or Magnaflow mufflers.

I'd consider any rasp after spending $700 on a GMMG exhaust dissapointing.

I've lived with the rasp also, and it's tolerable for a while. I just couldn't see throwing down that kind of money for an exhaust I knew would be raspy when I could get something else that makes more power, doesn't rasp, and is cheaper.
