How do i get rid of EGR? Hey people.i was wondering if you all knew what i had to do to get rid of my EGR and AIR pump and stuff like that.... i didn't know if anyone had a step by step walk through kind of like install university. and also wanted to know if i would need to get my PCM redone or if i could do the changes with a Diablo or something of that sort! thanks alot everyone

Check out ls1camaro.net they have the best writeup I have seen on both the !EGR and the !AIR mods. You will get a code for the EGR delete unless your programmer can shut off codes permanently.
Predator can delete EGR and AIR with custom tune, BUT Predator is not an option for your 98. You could live with the check engine light nagging you-- or send your pcm to a tuner (if you can live without it for a week). I don't know if software like ls1 edit is available for 98's, it isn't available yet with HP tuners software.
