Question Updated PCV Valve Question?????

I picked up P/N 12572717 which is supposed to be the new updated PCV Valve for the LS1.

Well, as I was installing it I noticed that it's just an empty PCV Valve body with a small hole on the big end - no internal valve?

How is this improved? Anyone have any experiences, good or bad, using this valve?

TIA,
-Jay-

I have been running it for over a year. Yes it is a "fixed orifice" style PCV. I would imagine it has trouble pulling enough vacuum to suck out oil, but it is still able to pull out moisture. I am happy with it, no problems here. It was actually an updated PCV valve for the LS-type truck engine.

Cool - thanx - I just thought it was kinda funny to sell and empty housing, allthough I figured it had something to do with the orifice.

GM - go figure

I was using one. I took it out and put the stock one back in just to see the before-after-and back results. I think I had less oil in the intake with the 'new' one. I think I'll go back to it......

....oh, and the best part about that new fitting is that you'll never have to replace it since there is no 'valve'.
