Default ASP underdriven balancer,

Aloha gang,
Just did a mayhem 2 cam install, I did it all lifters, chain, lunatic springs, oil pump black blah, I also installed a ASP underdriven balancer/ pulley. After some troubleshooting, I found that my belt squel is being cause by the ultra smooth pulley. Anyone have any suggestions?

the problem is not the ASP pulley, its your stock tensioner not being able to keep proper tension..
did you get the shorter belt to go with the pulley? or did you reuse the stock one....
you need the shorter belt..

also, consider going to a manual tensioner from Katech or AEI CNC.

Yahoo, shorter belt and new AC and serpentine tensioned. Might just be the brand of belt. If i rub a dry bar of soap on the pulley, no sound at all

again... you might just need a manual tensioner....
once I had an underdrive pulley on my car, teh stock style tensioner would not work because of extra vibrations caused by the smaller crank pulley

Underdrive pulleys seem like a good idea to people...but they are far worse than the 5-10 HP extra that they give back.
you will see more gains from a good full size ATI Damper then you will from an underdrive pulley.
