Default hp gains x pipe vs y pipe

Currently I am running hookers long tubes, tsp ory, and magnaflow catback. As of now the car is a 4:10 rear, ls6 intake and slp lid car, is there any gains to be noticed going to true duals over the current set up? If so, 2.5" or 3" duals and likely it will be dumped at the rear. Opinions please especially anyone who has made the swap on a similar set up.

I had a Lt's ory with slp and flowmaster catbacks before. The duals sound so much better. Hp gains maybe a couple, I couldtn't tell. But the sound quality makes it sound mean as hell. So in that sense, it "feelz" like a picked up alot of hp. http://pix.kg/p/696262227311%3A1741083740/sct

I'm personally not running duals, but I know that many just switch for the sound alone. Many aftermarket catback systems for these cars flow very well and even if the dual setup is high quality, the power gains that you would see are going to likely be pretty minimal.

I just switched from PS 1 3/4" headers/TSP 3" duals with bullets dumped to TSP 1 7/8's SS headers and y pipe. I installed the Flowmaster 3">4" merge and ran a single 4" (mufflex) exhaust out the back with a race style straight thru muffler.

My personal conclusion is that there is not any noticeable seat of the pants difference at all and I know my car VERY well.

Stock motors wont be a giant difference. When you start upgrading then the difference is there

Good enough then, ill stick w my single 3 inch magnaflow then. Sounds good enough and have listened to sounds clips but would need to hear one in person to decide if the switch is worth it.
