Aloha gang,
I changed my cam and supporting parts a month again. 2 weeks ago I changed my oil and filter. Had a tick right from the start up. I always used a mobil1 filter before. No issues. This time I used a Wix filter. I think I'm going to change it out again

I agree, I use them in my twin Turbo BMW, but maybe they don't flow enough for the ls1, I was reading some threads on engine ticks after changing brands of filter. That's exactly what happened to me.

Wix 51522 right here, from day 1. What oil are you running? When I switched AWAY from Mobil1 to Castrol Edge, my tick disappeared.
Then again, it sounds like you went to a healthier cam.... maybe it's just valvetrain noise? Filled the filter itself with oil before you screwed it in?

I switched from a mobil 1 filter to a wix, the tick was there after that. I checked all the rockers, there was no tick before the oil change. I soaked the lifters over night before installing them. The oil is clear and has zero foam/ airiation. I added a quart of lucas oil treatment, still there. I'll drive it for a few hundred miles and see what happens. And maybe change the oil

What oil are you using?
Both filters are very high quality and almost identical in design. I doubt your tick is because of the filter.
Get that Lucas oil stabilizer outta there, it's just 80 weight oil with soap in it. It'll cause foaming-which you don't want.
