Is the starter relay ls1 supposed to always be hot??

when I check mine after a vats bypass the test light is showing power at all times ....

do I need to wire in a toggle switch to cut power manually???

Which wire are you probing? Pretty well any relay that switches the "hot" source will have a hot wire at all times. Then when it gets the signal, it completes the circuit/switch and sends that hot source through.

That makes perfect sense..... Is it possible that I may be getting to great a voltage and burning up these relays ..... replaced several .... ultimately I get another random stall and no start issues again.

what might be the proper voltage
