Default first ls1 header install and a small problem...

I've got all the bolts off except the last rear one on the passenger side. Any suggestions on the best way to get it out?

thanks,

jerry

I got that one off by going removing it from under the car. It's alot easier to get to from under there if you have the car lifted high enough. But if you're doing it from the top and have already removed the coilpacks, then a ratcheting wrench will do the trick..

Yeah make sure you remove the coil packs, it made it alot easier on my friends car. If you have try from underneath the car.

I got this one from the bottom also. Iit is possible from the top if you have really long arms.

When you say "ratchet wrench" do you mean a box end wrench w/the ratchet action? Also did you take the exhaust pipe before taking this last bolt off?

When reaching that bolt from the top you need to literally lay on the engine. To get the correct angle for your arm to go that far in. The same case with that sparkplug.

Default Thanks for all the suggestions...

I called it a night last evening until I get some new tools. I'll try again later today. Those coil packs are no fun to take off either... each one is bolted individually.

thanks,

j
