LT headers: pacesetter vs flowtech?

LT headers: pacesetter vs flowtech? I'm planning on getting some LT's for my 01 Z28. Just wanted to see people's opinion and/or experience with the pacesetter or flowtech LT headers and ORY. What are the Pro's and Con's of each? need some help on this investment. thanks...

I just got done installing my Flowtech headers, and let me tell you the install was a breeze, the quality of the headers is OK. I personal like the 3 bolt flange on the flowtechs. I have heard the pacesetters are good to, but Thunder Racing had such a good deal on the flowtechs, so I ordered them.

The Flowtech headers fit well, the Y-pipe as well. Now that it has been a couple of weeks or something close to that, the only time that I can say that I have contact from the Y-pipe is when I am turning to the right, on a little bit of an incline and gas it. Such as turning from a parking lot that is higher than the street, onto the street. The closest that I can see the noise to be is the y-pipe touching the tunnel brace when the body has to flex.
Past that, there are no complaints.

I myself have the Pacesetters because i am impaitent and didnt want to wait for the Flowtechs to come out, but i haven't heard much bad about them.

i think both headers are a good deal..one has dented primaries (flowtech)
and the pacesetter has a crappy y pipe..both have there problems..so either way you can't go wrong for the price..but i would think the flowtech's would be a little more easier to install...

I have the pacesetters, the install wasn't terribly bad, make sure you have a grinder handy, you will need to grind the k-member to get it up on the drivers side, and possibly for fitment. Some do and some don't. The collector on the drivers side angles slightly up towards the body on mine so the y-pipe is wedged firmly against the floorpan. I took it to a shop to get it bent off the floor and it was still hitting so i did the ghetto wrap with a heater hose to keep it from banging. It does tuck up very close so scraping them should not be an issue when going over speed bumps.

I have the Flowtechs, and they fit great, No rubbing or banging issues what soever, and I have had mine on for over a month now. Even went to the track with them, and they didn't bang and I pulled couple of 1.6 on the spray and some 1.8 N/A 60 foot times. Only one Primary has a dent on the driver side, and its only for clearance. They do supply you with junk header bolts, if you go with flowtechs get you a set of grade 8 locking header bolts, and a new exhaust clamp for the y-pipe and catback conection, it is junk also, very small. Other than that I love mine.....

Which ever LT Headers you get then just get a custom y-pipe made. I still can't think of which LT's to get Pacesetters or Flowtech or Jethots. But I'm going to get a custom Oval y-pipe made from my friend @ Fbody Central. Its going to be oval because I plan to lower my car alittle.
