getting O2 codes after shorty header install (P0140,P0174)
Heres what i have installed: JBA shorties with EGR, Random Technology High Flow cats in the down pipe with Random Technology ORY pipe and 40 series Flowmaster.
I recently installed my JBA shorties with EGR connectors and took my car to my buddies shop to modify my down pipes and ORY as they were short to be boltong on to the headers. After all said and done i kept getting a coode stating that i had an O2 sensor unplugged. Fine i found it and it was Bank 1 Sensor 2 which is Driver side and after cat sensor. I plugged it in and code went away. Now the code came back up a couple weeks ago and i plugged in my scanner. I'm getting the P0140 code which says O2 sensor circuit no activity detected, i'm also getting the code P0174 which the system to lean in bank 2.
I crawled under the car to see if the sensor had gotten disconnected and maybe thats why i was getting that code, well once i was under the car everything is plugged in and the sensor wires are not touching anything hot. Wire goes straight up over to the top side of the tranny.
I also checked to see if spark plug wires were touching headers and they don't look like they are.
I checked to see if the EGR connection on the header was leaking but doesn't/sound like it is. Although i did have to bend the EGR tube just to bolt it up on to the headers. I didn't feel any cracks in the pipe. I'm not sure if maybe not enough fresh air is getting in their but also don't know what would be the official fix for this as the pipe has to be bent in order to bolt up.
So because of this issue i'm getting rough idle when car is not mobile, so my RPM's drop ocassionally sounding like i have a cam and the wire kinda wants to shut down.
Hope someone is able to shed some light,
