Adjust throttle cable on TB so BLADE opens 100%
to the floor while I was under the hood and noticed
that the throttle body butterfly does not open to the bumpstop.
It only opens to about 80%, theres about a 1/4 inch gap
before it would hit the bumpstop.
I have a Shaner S2, so I'm wondering if I need to adjust
the throttle cable now so that it opens fully.
How do I adjust the throttle cable so it opens to 100%?
thanks
Ahh, since you're new to this I've done it for you.

You're welcome.

(I know how to use the search key. Gimme a cookie)
with his foot) I am under the hood and notice that on
the OUTSIDE of the throttle body, the "tab" is not
up against the throttle body bumpstop, it's like the
throttle cable should be pulled another 1/4 inch.
If I pull on the throttle cable with my hand another 1/4 inch
then the throttle is up against the bumpstop.
I need to somehow "shorten" the cable so that
when it's "floored", it actually opens the throttle
body all the way so that it is up against the bumpstop.
I think my previous statement didn't make that clear.
I already searched on BUMP STOP and didn't find anything.
I have a Shaner S2 that already has the BUMP STOP ground
down a little to actually allow 100% opening of the butterfly,
now I want to take advantage of it, but my cable needs
to be "adjusted" so it's shorter, so that when I "floor"
it, it actually rotates the butterfly completely so that
the "tab" is up against the bumpstop.
thanks
I'll try to look for you, Try searching for Throttle cable if I fail to turn up anything. Like I said, the post was made about 2 to 3 weeks ago in either the New Enthusiast, or the external engine forum.
