Default Exhaust Adjustment Help Needed....

My SLP "Y" pipe is hitting when I get on it hard. The "slip" fits are so tight I can not make any adjustments.

How do you get these loose so I can jiggle them around and improve the clearance?

It's on the drivers side before the "Y" that hits.

Do you have poly motor mounts? If not, that is your fix. It is common for y-pipes to hit under WOT with stock motor mounts.

Interesting, perhaps especially with 119K miles on them. Is the poly mm install as bad as I have heard?

the poly mount install sucks. I know some shops that wont even do them or charge a lot of money.

I have also seen adding in another muffler hanger along the y-pipe fix it- but I would do it right with a poly mount the first time.
