My buddy said they went in fine for him but he never pulled them out just moved to put header bolts. I did all the hard work getting them to slide in.

One last problem. My guy put the headers on and said the bolt for the oil dipstick is too big and the headers don't let it go in and to get an Allen head bolt or something like that.

I installed the 1-7/8 SS headers a couple months ago and it went really well. The only piece I had to take off was the oil filter. The driver's side had some resistance going up but I just put some muscle behind it and it popped right up. What I think makes a world of difference when doing this mod is making the switch to header studs. They provide a nice and stable base to hang the MLS gasket from and makes it mega easy to line everything up for the final bolt on.
As for the dipstick, some folks like to grind the head of the bolt down to make it a tight fit again. I just torqued it down as good as I could against the header and called it a day. It jiggles a little more than it used to with manifolds but works as intended.
Here is a bit of my install.

I do remember having an issue with the oil dipstick after my ARH headers went in but it was probably just me. I had my mechanic check all the bolts after heat cycle to make sure they weren't backing out (1 or 2 were so check that!) and he got the dipstick bolt in and made everything nice and snug again.

I had the same problem. I just put a spacer between the bolt head and ....well the head. I'll probably try to find a smaller bolt to clear the header eventually.
