Default Chrs1313, SES

I just installed a chrs1313 and upon firing it up I got an SES light? I plan to take it back to my tuner to get it tweaked. My bottom line question: Is it hurting it?

I don't see how that could cause ses light. Are you sure you didn't forget to hook up the maf or something?

There isn't much to screw up. Everything is sealed good and tight, everything is plugged in. Don't know where else there is room for error.

A ram air won't cause an SES. You either screwed something up or it was a coincidence.

Can't see your location (mobile app) but I hear you on the rain. We've been getting it for 2 weeks straight in southern Louisiana.

Def run to autozone or somewhere an get the code pulled. I never had an issue with an SES until I did headers, before the Frost tune.

That includes every bolt on known to man. I did headers & Y last.

Let us know how it turns out, OP.

I had a gap in the rain so I pulled it out to mess with it and go to Autozone. I checked everything, plugs, sensors, MAF, IAT, seals on the lid and chrs1313. Fired it up and still got the SES. Last thing before heading down to the store was I tried disconnecting the battery and leaving it off for a couple of minutes then trying in again. What do you know, that took care of it. Drove around a bit, didnt get on it, roads still kinda wet. Let it cool off a while and started it again. No light. I don't have the slightest clue what it was. Coincidence? I doubt it. I may go to my tuner anyways to let him give it a once over. I want him to check the temps anyways with this thing in there. I don't know about other peoples' ram air set ups but mine actually touches the radiator at the top. Is that normal? I removed the upper and lower plastic shrouds that the chrs1313 conflicts with instead of cutting them. It opens up a lot more room in there for air to circulate around. My fans do run a lot more now than before, but they're set to come on early anyway. Im not *to* worried about temps because of reading I have done most others seem to not have issues. However there is the issue of "dummy gauges". I think Im gonna buy another air filter as well so I can swap out and not wait on my one and only to dry. From what I can tell so far these things have air filters doing overtime.
