Default 98 TA Engine Swap

Sorry I know this is on here a lot but can't reslly find anything on my situation.
Just did a motor swap in my 98 TA, only put mild comp cam in valves springs pace setter lt'sppolished heads. Put motor back in, now it won't crank. Have a brand new starter battery and all and all it does is click. Motor doesn't even turn over and it will turn by wrench but that's it. The starter won't turn it over at all. Maybe thinking have to replace wires going to starter csuse I've ruled out everything else

Check your grounds. There should be one near the starter on the block.

If there is one I cannot find it anywhere. Is it possible that it runs with the tranny lines and I accidentally misplaced it?
