Hey guys, I've got a 04 GTO stock exhaust with muffler and resonator delete. I love the sound of it, but when downshifting it will cackle while it revs down (which i love) then BOOM it backfires and sounds like someone just fired a shotgun. It gets very annoying during spirited driving through the twisties. I know it's because of the true dual setup with no H or X pipe, but would adding mufflers like a dynomax race bullets still give me the cackle with out the loud backfire? Or would I need to go to a H or X pipe? Thanks guys.
