Default Suggestions to quiet down car??

I just finished installing a set of Jet Hot long tubes and ORY. The car is unbelievably loud now with the Loudmouth exhaust. I've read many people complain about the loudmouth exhaust with long tubes and would like to know what anyone has done to quiet the exhaust down. Thanks very much in advance.

Maybe you can buy a replacement muffler and weld it in the stock location, who knows? Hooker is only $90...

I don't know about putting a muffler there since there isn't much room. Anyone think a Borla XR1 could quiet down things? I seem to be in the same boat.

I had a "dynomouth" system on my car w/ an off road Y and the stock exhuast manifolds. It was a horrible piece of ****, I couldn't imagine how loud it would have been w/ LT's. I had the 18" bullet in my I-pipe because I heard the 12" would be too loud. I am on my 3rd exhaust set up, and finally happy. Installed the SLP dual/dual today. Very quiet, but w/ the cam & LT's going in - should be just right.

Maybe the borla muffler won't be as bad, but in my experiences... any muffler that is essentially glass pack like the bullet mufflers, tend to get loud and obnoxious once the glass blows out. I think someone from the board put a Moroso spiral flow on his car and said it was much more liveable. Might want to consider that or a twister muffler.

The Borla XR1 muffler should quiet the car a bit but not much. You will be better off replacing the LM with a SLP DD. The SLP DD flows GREAT and isn't as loud.
