Default MACs midlength....

I was thinking of going w/ this setup if anyones heard it...

MACs headers w/ their catted y pipe, to LM. Would that give me some nice gains with a throaty sound?

MACS are good for midlengths. People who use them love them.
If you can get long tubes, get a set, but if LT's are out of your pricerange (though nowadays, several budget LT's exist that weren't around a couple of years ago, like Flowtech, Jet Hot, Pacesetters...), then MACS are good.

i would get the off-road pipes and have some carsound or other cats put in instead of the MACs, i have read many post that they perform like crap. I ran MAC's with an off-road pipe for a while, and then went to a 2.5" true dual setup. The MACs will work fine.

The collector on the Flowtechs is a flange, something to take into account whe choosing a Y-pipe. You could get the Y-pipe for the Flowtech and have two cats welded in by a local shop.

Would pacesetter, random tech catted Y pipe, and LM work?

Call any of the vendors---->
Tell them you'd like an affordable, catted setup. They'll match you a setup.
Worst case scenario, you can put cats in any Y-pipe at your local exhaust shop.

I think i decided im going to go w/ the pacesetter ceramic coated LTs, and their offroad y pipe. Now on the exhaust im not sure..... What would give me the throaty loud tone of LM, minus the rasp because it will be w/ LTs and ORY.

Or what about Flowtech LTs, Flowtech ORY, and a magnaflow catback? Iv heard many sound clips and video clips, will this give me a mean, loud, throaty sound?

MAC's are fine, don't let these people try to convince you to buy otherwise. If you want MAC's then get them, they are a GREAT header. LT's do offer slightly more performance but some people like myself can't have them do to issues with the law

The MAC cats are ****... Get the ORY and then buy some CarSound cats and have them welded in.

Well im goin for performance and here in fl, there are no emissions laws. Is the maggy catback even comparable to the loudmouth?? I want it LOUD! but i dont want rasp when i put an ORY and LTs on, and i dont wanna hafta get bullits and **** afterwards.

well, if you dont have to worry about emissions, i think you should go with a true dual setup to match those Pacesetters, that is what I am running, and its just what you describe. Sounds good but without the rasp you get from the off-road Y's

Yeah but true duals are by themselvs are at least 500 bucks.

Flowtech headers (coated) w/ a ory pipe is about 510.
Magnaflow catback is: 400

900 bucks for a whole exhaust. And i think it will sound mean and LOUD w/o rasp.
