MAF installed backwards??
MAF installed backwards?? What happens when you install a descreened MAF backwards? Anything. So the Flow arrows would be pointing the opposite direction it is supposed to be??
Reason I ask is I'm going through hell after a cam and head swap the car is not driveable. It has a mail order program that should be fairly close. But it is sputtering backfiring and Shaking no....shivering would be a better term for it. As I was taking the valve covers off to try and see what is going on I noticed the MAF was installed backwards...

Possiblity. Would be reading negative airflow and the computer could be flipping out. Try and reverse it and start it up again. Who did the h/c install? Timing could be off. But check the MAF first, sounds like the coulpret. JP
