It's been the general consensus on here that it's about equal to an LS6 intake as far as an upgrade in performance goes. Some speculate heat soak will be worse, and as a result, less power when hot-lapped/ran for a while, but I have yet to see solid proof of that on here.

Most owners seem to be happy with them though, and if you decide to go another route, you should be able to sell it very easily on here in the classifieds.

Take a gander at the results in the search bar, this has been talked about a lot in the past and there's a lot of info on it.

It's a good intake. Plus it looks better than the LS6. I think it will perform a bit better as well. It's not a FAST but still a good upgrade over the stock LS1. I don't buy into the heat soak issue that's been beat to death around here.

Since you've already made the purchase I see no reason for you not to run it. Obviously it wouldn't be my first choice but it should be decent upgrade over the stock ls1 intake.

It's the best intake to get right under a F.A.S.T.

And actually there has been a documented increase even over an LS6

Don't listen to all the heat soak crap... it shouldn't even be mentioned anymore in these threads.

~11 lbs more than a LS6. Not much to worry about.

I picked up a ported bbk on here for $300 the other month. Already had headers and a 85mm throttle body on. BBK really woke the car up over the stock ls1. Don't buy into the heat soak, might happen when your around town but at wot the air is going through so fast it wont get any hotter or colder than when it hit the air box. Do a search, someone dynoed it and bbk is 15-20hp over ls1 and 5-10 over ls6 IIRC.

IMO, I'd get a 85mm TB for it to maximize you gains. If you're willing to open up the inlet a little then a Edelbrock 90mm TB should work fine.

I ran this intake for 3 years and loved it. Only reason I honestly upgraded to a FAST 90/90 is because I had the money.

Ive seen ls6's dyno higher. Just depends on the day and the dyno.

All things considered equal, same day, same car, same dyno, same conditions, the BBK will make 5-10hp more power than an LS6.

In a set-up that can utilize the additional air flow, at some point in the RPM range the BBK will begin to pull away from the LS6
