Default Carback question

I have a Flowmaster catback on my car right now. I added a Powerstick muffler to get rid of the rasp, which it did, but the exhaust is still a little loud for my taste (LT's and ORY). Was wondering if anybody knew if I could replace the Flowmaster with a Magnaflow as a direct replacement. I have already modified the tail pipes, cut off the tips and put on turndowns, so don't want to replace the whole catback. If I can easily replace just the muffler, I will do it.

Or you could get a shop to weld you in a high flow cat. That will get rid of any rasp that is still there and get the loudness down a bit too.

I'd prefer to get rid of the Flowmaster muffler. My rasp is gone, the exhaust is just a little to loud for my tastes. With a convertible, you get a lot more exhaust noise in the car.

If you muffler exits are 2.5" you can go with either a Magnaflow #12267($113) or Dynomax Ultraflow-welded #17227($108). Now if it has 3" exits then get a Dynomax Ultraflow-welded #17536($116) because magnaflow doesn't have a cross-flow with 3" exits.

Run a single 3"in/3"out. Hooker Maxflow is quiet and near zero power loss. Run a dump pipe off the muffler, no need to worry about tips, catfish looks better without them.
