Another belt squeak/chirp question
History: I have a supercharger and need a tight belt for nonslip issues (manual tensioner). My Gates belt started doing this so I changed it out and it was fine for one day. The next morning Squeaking/chirping. I put on an old stretched out Goodyear GatorBack belt just to test and it cured the problem. The issue is that GatorBack belts stretch out too quickly ( which I may just have to live with). I now have a new Dayco belt on and it was good all day yesterday. This morning it started to Squeak a little as it warmed up it went away.
Question: what is happening that helps the squeak go away as the car warms up. Not just warm to operating temperature ... far past that as i drive for at least 10-15 minutes in traffice before it is gone. I am not sure if alignment & pullies are the issue as that wont fix itself as it warms up. Also, I do not see any signs of contamination from fluids Ie; coolant etc..
Note: it is not squealing from slipping, and it happens at idle all the way up progressivley as the RPMs increase.
I thank you in advance for any help & advice.
