I only paid about $60 more for my entire setup as you did for just your duals...

Not a thing wrong with that at all. I unfortunantly however didn't have headers already on the car to recover any cost with. Oh, well. Either way I'm sure the OP will get whatever makes him happy and thats all that matters.

I'm still at odds as what to do. 94z28-mstgklr has said everything I would say about why I wouldn't want a TD setup.

OK my problem now is I have a guy willing to sell me his gmmg's for about half of what a new catback would cost. However they have 25k miles on them and will be cut for shipping. Should I just bite the bullet and buy a new catback or take the chance on the used one. The used one are welded from all the way from header to y so I'm thinking an exhaust shop would have to fab up a way for me to get them off and on the car.

Buying it used is up to you. Some one saying they will cut it up to ship it might hack it up so bad that it may not go back together right. Once you agree that it's okay for shipping purposes it doesn't matter how bad they cut it up. I would buy one new if you have the funds for it. There are some things I wouldn't think twice about buying used but something as big as an exhaust is subject to someone not only cutting it up for shipping but also beating the heck out of it getting it off their car. Just my .02

Hey, like king-lt1 said, after you sell what you already have on the car it will make up the difference. Thats how I would justify buying a new kit...

Yeah, I'm mad that I even got the hooker to begin with. I told myself that, on this car, I wouldn't just let myself throw cheap stuff at it out of being impatient. As soon as the hooker got to my house and I tried to put it together, I knew I had broken that rule to myself. I think I'm going to get the catback.

Any recomendations on a stainless y pipe that isn't header brand specific?

Duals tuck great if you take you're time.

Spend the 50 bucks at the muffler shop so they can cut and tweak the system for YOUR car and you will be happy. I have better ground clearance with my duals than I did with my Y-Pipe / MagnaMouth set-up.

Before the heads and cam I felt a SOTP difference too, especially in midrange. That's not placebo either.

Of course I like my Kooks ORY but I have heard nothing but good things about the TSP ORY and it is stainless as well. If you're wanting a stainless y pipe that is catted I'm not sure who makes one that is stainless other than Kooks.

IMO, if you're considering duals, Kooks. TSPs may sound nice from the outside, but the sound coming from under the car instead of out the back may get old when you're in it.....just sayin. If you do a catback, have a Y "properly" built.

Never heard GMMG in person.. But i have ran TSP Duals dumped with bullets, and it is the greatest sounding ever!!! Sound of pure, mean muscle.

I've had gmmg, which I loved, td's, lm1, Magnaflow, and finally a Corsa on my last SS. The gmmg is my favorite and the corsa is a CLOSE second.

Ive been to several performance shop open houses, car shows, ect with my buddy's car (00 SS) and my car (95 Formula) which both have GMMG. Even among f-body/LS car gatheringa where a lot of people run TD's, I don't think we've ever been anywhere that people have complemented our exhausts.

The '00 exhaust (LT's and GMMG) got a lot of compliments on the dyno at WS6store's openhouse this year amongst a group made up pretty much entirely of F-body enthusiasts. If you buy GMMG, I garauntee you'll never regret it. $625 shipped without tips from madhammer, you can't beat that!

A couple good clips that I like:
