What will dealer do for leaking freeze plug?

What will dealer do for leaking freeze plug?

I have a leaking freeze plug, 2004 GTO. Front of the head, passenger side. I want to take it in but I'm worried they will do something stupid like keep the car for 3 months and install a whole new engine. Is this leak common? What does the dealer typically do? This is my third LS1 car and the first engine issue I've ever had.

you can usually go to an auto parts store with the old one that is leaking...and get a new one and tap it in yourself..obviously gotta drain the fluid to do so....

it should be a pretty easy fix for them. i just had to put a new one in on the back of the head and it just took about an hour. i'd say just take it in, it shouldn't take them longer than a day if they get to it.
