Default PCV Oil Consumption

Hello everyone, recently switched to the "new style" GM PCV valve that doesn't have the little ball inside. I notice now that I am using more oil than normal. I am also running a WS6store catch can which is catching some oil, I would say every 800 miles there is about one fluid ounce of oil in the can. Has anybody had oil issues with using the new style pcv valve? If so, is there any parts companies that sell the PCV valve for these cars that still have the little check ball inside of it? Thanks everyone.

Just upgrade to the ls6 style valley cover and be done with it.
