Open headers cause fuel in oil and dead plugs?

Open headers cause fuel in oil and dead plugs? I started a thread a few days ago about open headers causing a miss. Well the next time we drove the car it never started back. I started the car dead cold let run for approx 30 seconds and then took off, I drove it approx 1 1/2 minutes to my house and shut it off. The hole time it was on the road it was flooding, blowing black smoke, cutting out. Well When I went back to it it woudln't start, every plug in it is fouled out and the oil smells like gas. I'm going to change plugs, change oil and filter, and take it straight and have the exhaust put on. Is the exhaust definately my problem though? The car was tuned for a catback and it all happened immeadiately after taking off the exhaust? Also the car has barely been moved/started with the fuel in the oil, more than likely I haven't done any damage right? It has less than 1 mile total on it with the open headers. And less than 20 minutes run time.

i would think that by opening up the exhaust after a tune for cb the car would lean out as exhaust flows faster drawing more charge out with it. can you verify the fuel pressure in the rails is still around normal if i remember correctly 60#.

You have to have 18+ inches from your o2 sensor to the end of you exhaust or it catches outside air. Oxygen sensor sees a bunch of air , leaving it to believe its really really lean and tells the CPU to dump the a bunch of fuel .

The way everything happened I would think it would have to be the exhaust. I had it tuned with a catback , then I went to dumped duals and noticed the exhaust smell was more noticeable like it was running a little rich at idle and then when I took off the dumped duals the engine was hot, I backed it straight out of the garage and was shifting at around 2500 until I got almost home 1 1/2 minutes away and then at low rpms I had a cutting out problem. Then on the next cold run this happened. I'm going to clean the plugs, change the oil, and add a few inches of piping before I even start it back. Hopefully it fixes it. When I was driving it dead cold the car cut out so bad it barely had enough power to get up to 50mph.

So today we towed my car to the garage, changed the oil, cleaned the plugs and hooked up my exhaust and it fired right up and ran perfect within a minute or two. I'm going to change the oil again soon. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Thanks
