can this exhaust be done?

can this exhaust be done? currently i have the LM dual/dual, i want to get some long tube headers then run those into a high flow aftermarket cat on each side then into a resonator muffler (similar to or identical to the one with the LM) then side exit right infront of the rear tire on each side with the slant cut dual tips from my current LM setup. what do you guys think? Are there down sides? can it be done? i do have SFC's so it will have to fit around those. I was also think about Hooker ceramic headers, i live in vegas so its hot, but i have heard ceramic doesnt last that long is that true?

doesn't work. spent a week trying to get that to work once already. however you can run it out the passenger side only and it works and sounds great. but its definately a no-go running the pipe across the underbody of the car...it hits *****, rattles scrapes like nobodies business.
currently im working on a true dual side exit project with a buddy. im takign this one slowly and im going toget this to work. im u sing moroso spiral flow mufflers, an x pipe and im exiting it out the sides using stock rectangular tips. ill let you know how it goes if youd like and perhaps i can snap a few pics. im not sure when ill get a chance to finish this but im hoping it will be done on sunday.
pm me if you want to ask me anything else...i've tried it...and it doesnt work very well out both sides.

It's possible, just not very street friendly. There were pics floating around of a black Z/28 with the kind of tips that you mentioned out both sides in front of the rear tires, but AFAIK he changed his setup becuase it was scraping too much. I'm also working on a side exit setup with stock Z/28 tips in front of the rear tires.
I'd say you can get it to work, i thought about doing it but never got the funds. You can check ebay though for tips, you'd need something about 4-5 inches wide and about a inch tall to keep some ground clearance, and i'd say you'll also need oval pipe. There's a firebird formula around where i live that has that same setup so i know something like that has to work. Oh that firebird formula sounds bad ***

thanks for all your input guys. im gonna have to do some measuring and figuring 
to see if i can squeeze it in, i just think it would look and hopefully sound friggin awesome. one concern i had was the amount of space between the end of the headers and the cat, and then the cat and the muffler, is there a minimum length of pipe i should run between each of these?
