Duals Idea, Lookin For Comments and Opinions Im thinkin about replacing the macs and 1oftl ultraflo catback. I was thinkin about getting the Edelbrock 1 7/8" stepped headers with 3.5" collectors and 2 3.5" i/o 5"round bullets before the xpipe then a pair of 3" 4x9 magnaflow mufflers. Should be somewhat quiet with a killer sound.
Will the 5" bullets after the headers clear or will they hang too low?

I want the exhaust to be quiet as possible without being restrictive. I figure a 3.5" bullet will have very little restriction while killing some dB's and the magnflows are supposedly quiet and free flowing. I agree 4 mufflers is going a little overboard but being dumped under the car makes it louder inside.
5" mufflers will not work anywhere before the rear axle. The absolute largest I would go would be 4" and even that is pretty tall. The quietest muffler you can get for a dual dumped system is the Magnaflow 4"x9". I have heard of one person using them, but he has 28" tall slicks on the back, so ground clearance isn't a concern for him.
If you want "quiet" duals, you will probably need to run them out the back with your choice of muffler.
