Is this a restriction... exhaust?

A friend of mine has a 2000 SS. Only mods are lid, longtubes and exhaust. Well for exhaust hes got a hooer ORY with a 3" I pipe going into a 2.5" glasspack dumped (all they had at the exhaust shop). Is the 2.5" muffler a restriction on a basically stock LS1.

The 2.5" muffler should not be a problem on a stock LS1. I run 2.5" true dual with a heads cam set up and have no problems at all.

Yes, he should really get a flowmaster y merge to replace the god awful hooker merge, then dump a 4 inch bullet off of it

he should keep it unless he wants to change the tone. That exhaust will work just fine for a stock car
