Dip Stick Can someone confirm my stupidity please.
I have an 04 5.3. All aluminum engine from trailblazer SS. I swapped the pan to F-body style a year ago prepping for a project. Just getting around to installing and putting on accessories before i drop in car.
Heres where it gets funny
I cant find where the dip stick goes! I assume it must have been in pan for the Trailblazer set up. Its been so long I forgot how it was.
The F-body pan has no spot for it.
There appears to be an area in the casting of block. Pass side, just above the pan rail that could be used, Kinda like an ole SBC. but its not drilled.
Do I need to get F-bdy Dipstick, and remove pan and drill?
Or Am I missing somthing?

I'm pretty sure that passenger side boss is drilled, check to see if there's a plug you can remove. Only the front sump pans use an oil pan mounted dipstick. The rest use that bkock location. You'll need the f body dipstick and tube.
