Got a problem. I really need yalls advice on what could be a critical decision. I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs... phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although when i ask their names she always says "Just some friends from work, you don't know them" I always stay awake to look out for the taxi coming home, but she always walks down the drive. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and i decided to really check on her. I decided i was going to park my Trans Am next to the garage and then hide behind it so i could get a good view of the whole street when she came home. It was that moment, crouching behind my car, that I noticed some fluid on the floor turned out to be antifreeze, now my water pump is leaking a little coolant. It appears to be broken soo I might need a new pump. Is this something i can fix myself with basic tools or should I take it to a shop??
Sorry for the problems you are having w/ your relationship, one reason I stay away from any. Respect and truth are out the window w/ a lot of people these days, I sound like an old geezer at 27.
As for your car, water pump is really simple, if the pump comes with gaskets, make sure they are the metal w/ rubber ones, the paper are a bitch to clean if you do a heads / cam swap later. You can easily do this, good time for a coolant flush if it's that time on your car.

Yeeah things happen in this kinds of things but never the less.

would you recommend any specific water pump? I cannot reccomend one because I was able to reuse mine on the cam swap, but I hear that Autozone's is around $150 and soposedly has a lifetime warranty. Others that needed to buy a replacement will chime in.

+1 though. WP swap is pretty easy and that walk through is pretty much fool proof.

If you were not trying to check up on the wife you would not found the car problem==unknown so there fore no problem,
