ls balancer question
ls balancer question Im building a 4.8 turbo motor, to make a long story short i screwed up the balancer while taking it off my lil 4.8, im looking at some ls1 underdrive pulleys on ebay but it only lists them for ls1's, will a ls1 balancer be ok on my 4.8? or are the balancers different wieghts or what. Thanks
I honestly couldnt tell you if the LS1 versions will line up correctly or not...gonna be totally dependent on your accessories you have on your motor already
but of you find out they do line up properly...

I'd stay away from that Chinese crap...
do a search, you 'll find plenty of people who are complaining about it.
theres a reason why SLP and ASP and ATI sell theirs for a lot more than the price of that Chinese Stuff.

balancer is sold according to the accessories and not the engine. all balancers work on each engine except the ls7 because i believe the crank snout is longer.
