What? The cat is rattling. At idle and constant at WOT. I want to take the cats off for sound and not have to deal with them. Then just tune it.

x2 but my recommendation would be to gut the cats. You basically get the benefits of an ORY without the cost. Espically if you ever have any intentions to go LT's in the future.

I had this problem with my old V6 Camaro (only 1 cat). I was young and dumb and got ripped off at an exhaust shop which replaced the cat. Turned out it wasn't the cat, but the O2 sensor rattling in the bung or something. I got rid of the car before I threw more money at it, but the reason I say this is there is a slight chance that it is not the cat that is rattling.

No I have been under the car multiple times, it's definitely the cat. I checked the o2 and heat shield

As had I, I would bang on the cat and it would rattle or so I thought.

My point though is, don't "waste" your money on an ORY. Gut your factory cats and reinstall. Saves you $200+ and any frustration of the ORY not lining up perfectly, plus the car would still pass a visual inspection if ever needed and if you had to sell the car to pay for college it would look stock still.

Just trying to help you save some cash as I am also a poor college student.

Also which y pipe do you have?? I'm trying to decide if the stainless works is worth the extra 100 over the other one.
That'll work. I actually have the Stainless Works O/R Y, can't complain about it after almost a year of daily driving. Gutting your cats would be a good alternative however if your stock Y is in good shape (mines was rusted). Like the other guy said you will definitely save some cash and get the same effect.

How the fitment? I would really like to get a new y. Mine is rusted somewhat. I waiting on pics of the random tech setup from above. Would be perfect. Looks like cats so i dont get hassled during emissions and he has o2 sims.

I live in LA. I deleted the cats. I ran 3 different exhausts before finding the right tone for my car. I had a LM1 which was too damn loud, a flowmaster 10 series which was quiet idle and somewhat loud at WOT, and the LM2. Loudmouth 2 had the win for me, nice idle, and wot sound.

LM1 with stock y pipe cat delete with tips.

LM2 with stock y pipe cat delete dumped.

Fitment is good, can't tell a difference from stock in that regard. Also, I wouldn't worry about emissions, I went through with the O/R Y on the car last summer and passed, they are generally pretty friendly when it comes to modded cars here in this state.

When my car was stock I took it and he didn't even look under the car so I'm really not worried about it to much.
