what next?

Default what next?

ok guys need a little advice. im running a stock bottom end with 243 heads mildly ported, ls6 intake, whisper lid, k&n, headers, and a comp cam 228 232 588 595 cam, comp rockers, with 373 gears. this combo put down 386rwhp and 353 rwtq. i was hoping for around 420. so my question is what else can i bolt on to get good gains? does a ported tb help that much?

Ported TB will give you minimal gains. It is worth doing for increased throttle response.

A UD pulley will net you 8-10rwhp.

ok got it, anything else? i swear i thought this combo was going to do better. ive seen some guys putting down 420 all day with a similar setup. guess they had happy dynos.

Your car is a 6spd I'm guessing since you didn't mention a stall?

If so, that setup is capable of putting down 420. Who ported your 243's? Got any flow numbers?

im not sure who did the port work. i just had the motor rebuilt and the guys doing the rebuild said they had a little work done to them. im not sure on any flow numbers.
yes it is a six speed.

Even with a set of stock 243's you should put down 400.

I have a similar setup, but with TSP's 228r cam and an auto with 3600 stall. After cleaning the tune up it put down 400.

I wouldn't stress the dyno numbers just yet. Run it at the track and see what it does there first. Mine made 405 rwhp on my last dyno, but apparently it runs strong enough to stay within a car length of a ported/pullied 03 Cobra...see my point

Whay type of dyno? I wouldnt be worried. Just numbers.

i know numbers are not everything, just wanted them higher,lol. it had a tr 230 cam before and made 418 i was just hoping to stay in that range. it still feels good and drives good. guess ill just wait for it to warm up and hit the track. thats where the numbers matter.
