corvette maf or 100mm maf
looking to upgrade the maf a long with 102 intake, 102 nw tb, 42 lb injectors. was curious if i needed to even upgrade it. im not sure what mm the maf is. i know the tb is fitted to a 80 mm. i just dont want to "tunnel" the airflow. motor is a ls6 383 11.5 cr. 459 at wheels. stock/ported ls6 intake, 80 mm tb, corvette maf and 36 lb injectors. help

I would go ahead and do the 100mm. That'll eliminate the possible regret of possibly picking up some power. Just make sure you've got a good tuner. They say they're a little harder to tune. I actually made a 100mm maf sensor. 50 bucks for a LS7 style sensor, 25 for the harness, 30ish for the maf housing with bung attached, and like 10 or so for a honeycomb.

I recently went SD and am going back to MAF. At WOT the MAF just plain old gives a more stable AFR. I run the 100mm LS3 style card MAF. What I did was screen the 100mm MAF. Going down the road I get 102kpa at WOT. It's not a dense screen like stock. Maybe 6-8 cells per sq in.
With a 383 you should certainly go with the bigger MAF. It's not hard to tune at all. I did it and I am certainly not a pro tuner by any stretch. I have a solid 12.8AFR from 2500-6700. The MAF is the easiest thing in the ECU to tune by far. (personal opinion)
