Default engine Identification 6.0 lq4

engine identification question
The book I have been reading states the 2007 Silverado has a GenIV engine. It also states that the gen IV has a Knock sensor on the side of the block and a 58x crankshaft sensor which is gray in color. the engine I have A 6.0 has 2 sensors in the lifter valley and a black sensor behind the starter that I believe is the crankshaft sensor, Is the book wrong? also I have a sensor in the stock oil pan that is not installable in my Holley pan i bought.

There should be a casting number on the on the rear of the block under the driver side cylinder head if memory serves me correct. Just take that number and cross reference it with the casting numbers with the ones online and it should give you a answer on what year block it is.

You have a LQ4 your 2007 Silverado is the old style called Classic . The Gen IV was put in the 2007 new body style NNBS the Gen IV 6.0 will be a L76 or LY6. Classic= Gen III NNBS= Gen IV
