Default Which Fast Intake ??

I have a 2000 Corvette with 404 rwhp and 380 torque. My mods are Lingenfelter GT-1 cam(219,228 duration, .563,.563 lift), 243 heads, ls6 intake, LG longtubes with high flow cats and Borla stingers, yank ss3600 and 3.42 rear. I have a new ported Fast 78 (unsure of porter) on another engine sitting on a stand. My question is would I be better off getting a black Fast 92 and a LS2 throttle body or just using the Fast 78 I already have? I am not concerned with the cost or anything. Just want some more power........and the black Fast 92 look so damn good. What intake will make more power? Stock Fast 92 w/ls2 throttle body or ported Fast 78?

If cost is not an issue why not go for the Fast 102?

I believe guys are having to shim there cradles when running the fast 102. I honestly have no desire to shim anything to make something else fit. I do know that the 92 will install with no shimming needed. And honestly I think the 102 will be overkill for my application.

The 102 wouldn't be overkill by any measure. However, you are right about fitment issues. I would absolutely sell the 78 and buy a 92/LS2 TB. The money you make off the 78 would buy a ported TB and pay for the 92s porting

I have a ported FAST 78 on my 00 C5. it put down 450 rwhp with heads and cam. The 92 will give you more power but will also require a LS2 throttle body. The 102 may require shimming but will require a throttle body as well as new fuel rails. I htought that it was just F bodies that needed shimming but I could be wrong.

FAST 102mm wont be an overkill. You will actually benefit from it if you decide to go bigger on your setup. If not then go with a 92mm.

Thanks for the input guys! I ended up ordering a 92 and LS2 throttle body. I spoke with Tony Mamo and as soon as these get delivered to me, I will then ship them to Tony. Might as well get the best to do the porting on the intake, as well as the throttle body.

102 Will fit but its stupid tight at the back of the intake and firewall. You CANNOT use fast fuel rails unless you cap the backs of the rails and have the fuel feed on the front of both rails and even then its going to be even tighter than using stock rails. Throttle body selection will be slim as the only decent ones are nick williams and they can be a bitch to tune, and the 92mm is very close to hitting the accesories so the 102 will be even closer! If you do go LS2 TB hit me up for the jumper harness i have a BNIB one that didnt get used on the corvette i did a 102 fast and NW tb. If you MUST have the fast fuel rails like my customer had to have HE ended up cutting the firewill with a cutoff wheel I wouldnt touch it...
